Quick Mow in Trenton

Grass looking good.

Hot mow in Trenton

Mowing high today.  Heading into the dog days of August.  While we have had lots of rain in June and July, the forecast is hot with only scattered showers.

Grass was cut at 3 1/2 inches.

Deck scraper.  The grass was dry so it did not stick much to the deck.  Always check the deck, the blade the fan, and the motor vents.

Finished lawn.

Lawn in Palmyra NJ

Mowed in Palmyra today using the Black and Decker CM1936 mower.  I disturbed a bunnie who appears to live there.

Had to stop mowing until he moved.

The lawn growth has slowed.  Mowing used less than half of the battery.
Used the Black and Decker blower to clear the sidewalks.  It uses an 18 volt NiCad battery.
Both the lawn mower and blower batteries recharge in 12 hours.

Mowing in Trenton

It is hot, but with all of the rain we have been getting, we could probably mow twice a week.  I raised the height of the blade to 3.5 inches and I expect to stay high until fall.  It is the middle of the summer and the rain will likely stop at some point.

Weedwacking and edging too.

Grass growing in the brick walk.

The battery stayed fully charged today. This is after the mowing was done. Usually it is 1/2 or 1/4 remaining.

Mowed my brother and sister in law’s back yard. First I weedwacked, then used their Black and Decker MM 1800 corded mower. There was a brief interruption when the motor cut off and I had to find the breaker.

It has been some time since I used a corded mower.
